Should I enable VSync when playing online casino games?

I am just beginning to play casino games online and found a checkbox labeled VSync in the options for my video card. Should I turn this on or off? Does it make any difference in online card games or slot machines? I don't want all sorts of artifacts ruining my game. Thanks!

VSync is only useful if you care about frame rate and visual performance when you’re playing a very fast-paced game like Call of Duty or Grand Theft Auto. In an online casino you can ignore it completely as most casino games are not demanding at all graphically speaking. They will run in VSync mode without problems but enabling it may introduce noticeable input lag which could affect gameplay. So, in an online slot game or any other casino game I’d keep VSync disabled. It will have no effect on tearing in this kind of software, so it’s unnecessary. Also, you should be more concerned with having a good internet connection than any visual options. The casino wants people to play as easily as possible and therefore has made sure that the graphics are basic and will run well on many devices. If you do not see tearing in a casino game then there is no reason to bother changing the VSync setting. Play it however you feel comfortable.

For online casino games such as slots or card games, VSync probably won’t matter much. These games don’t require demanding graphics, and most systems can handle them without screen tearing or stuttering. You may still want to leave VSync enabled to prevent any small graphical errors, but it isn’t essential. Keep it on, and don’t worry about it – just get a stable Internet connection.

Enable VSync for more stable images while playing action-packed games. Online casino gambling? Don’t bother. VSync isn’t necessary when spinning slots or shuffling cards. Turn it off to avoid screen artifacts. It won’t improve or diminish your gaming experience. Unless you’re seeing weird visual distortions, there’s no reason to turn it back on. Disable VSync if you’re concerned about artifacts. It may not make your games look any better, but it won’t do any harm either, unless you start seeing issues with the display. If so, re-enable VSync. Happy spinning!

VSync syncs your screen’s refresh rate to your GPU. It probably won’t benefit you much when playing online casino games (slots, poker, etc.). The games don’t need a lot of frames. If you have an older setup, you may want to turn VSync off to limit input lag and prevent stutter. But if you’re experiencing screen tearing, turn it back on. Artifacts are pretty uncommon with casino games, so either option will serve you well. Experiment to see which one works best for you!
