Why does my controller keep drifting during long gaming sessions?
I've had some trouble with the joystick drifting while playing Casino games, has anyone else had this problem? Is it a hardware/programming error, or is it just a sensitivity issue? Any help would be appreciated.

I know what you mean about "drift" with your joystick. If you are spending long hours on the casino games, it must get annoying. The cause is either dirt/dust in the joystick or a worn potentiometer. Also, you don't want to cheap out and buy a joystick that is known for drifting. If you are doing micro button presses (as in the slot machines), then drift seems magnified. Try resetting the joystick, and if that does not work, open it up and blow out any dust. If your joystick is very old, you will need to replace it. I saw several people from our board have this issue; some even "modded" their joysticks. Not a sensitivity issue within the game. Good luck!
Controller drift is typically caused by physical problems (worn-out joystick parts, dirt in the ports), not code bugs. It’s rarely a sensitivity issue. These casino-style games with accurate controls can highlight this. Try a simple wipe/clean/re-calibrate, and if your controller is older, you probably need to replace it. Lots of people experience this, it’s just part of the job. Good luck!
