Why am I getting connection lost errors while playing live dealer games?

Hi, all. I keep experiencing connection issues when playing live dealer games on my preferred online casino. Have any of you encountered similar problems? Is it an issue with my internet, their server, or what? How can I resolve this problem or limit its occurrence? I’d appreciate hearing about any of your own frustrations and how they were resolved. Thanks!

And yes, it can be annoying when your internet connection breaks in the middle of a live dealer game. First, make sure your internet bandwidth is sufficient (at least 10 Mbps up and down). Test your internet during the same time you play your games, not just when you’re not doing anything else. If possible, connect to your router using an ethernet cable instead of Wi-Fi; the latter is less reliable and thus more vulnerable to interruption.

From a casino’s perspective, its own server could also be down. If you can’t get in and several other players seem to be experiencing the same problem, then that is likely the case. Always check a casino’s Twitter feed or other customer-service channels to see if they’re reporting downtime.

To prevent this from occurring: Shut down all unnecessary background programs that may be sucking up bandwidth, reboot your modem/router, use a recent web browser version (Chrome, Firefox recommended). If you are still experiencing such problems, contact the online casino’s customer support department with a detailed description of your computer/Internet connection, etc. – They may be able to help or provide compensation if the problem is on their end. Good luck!

The problem is probably caused by either (a) your internet, (b) their server, or (c) a firewall issue. Firstly, what is your internet speed at the time you try to play? If it's poor, use an ethernet cable or contact your ISP to upgrade. If your speed is good, then try playing other games at other casinos: if they work, it may be that their server is having problems. Secondly, check whether your antivirus program / firewall is blocking it. Finally you can call their technical support who will likely be able to tell you if there are server maintenance works being done. Best of luck!

Your Internet connection may not be the only reason you are experiencing lag in a live dealer game. To rule out your Internet as the problem, run a speed test. Also, try connecting to a different wifi channel or switching over to Ethernet (if possible). If the problem persists, then the issue may lie with the casino’s servers. Ask customer service about any known server downtime at the time of your session, and consider ending other non-gaming applications to prevent bandwidth throttling for future sessions. Also, avoid playing during peak traffic times. I hope this helps.

live croupier (dealer) game sometimes loses connection.

Possible reasons range from a lagging or poor Internet connection to heavy machine load or issues with the casino’s server.

If you experience any difficulties, please try the following: 1) make sure you are connected to a stable network; 2) close other applications that might be using the internet; 3) if you can, connect to the internet via an ethernet cable.

You also should get in touch with your casino’s customer support team to see if there is a server-side issue they can resolve, or at least compensate you for. Good luck.
