Are there any cooling pads that work well for GPU overheating problems?
Guys, help! I have overheating problems when I upload recorded games, and I stream live games on my site too – does anyone know if cooling pads really work? There is a lot of conflicting info on the Internet about them, and I want to make sure my computer won’t overheat in the middle of playing 17 hours straight. Can you suggest alternatives?

cooling pads are only for laptops. if you're using a desktop gpu, then not so much. hey, it sounds like you're doing some serious stuff there. let me know if i can help. first off, you should have good airflow in a desktop case. secondly, clean out the dust bunnies from the inside of your computer. third, make sure your graphics card is seated properly in the pci-e slot. lastly, upgrade to a better air cooler for your video card, or maybe go with a bigger, better air cooler for inside the case. also, have you re-applied the thermal compound on your graphics card? and if you're running your rig for 17 hours a day, and want to keep your GPU temperatures down, look into liquid cooling. it's the best option for high-end gaming for long hours. hope this helps! i wish you the best, bro. let me know if you've got further questions.
Cooling pads are a waste of money. They won't do much to keep your graphics card from heating up when gaming, streaming, and editing. A good graphics card cooler, improved PC case airflow, or even a liquid cooling system is what you should consider. Ensure that your PC case has enough space for proper air flow, and that you're not generating a lot of dust (and clean the dust filters regularly). Leave some room in front of your graphics card for air circulation - don't just stick it against the desk. If you're going to push it for 17 hours a day, choose carefully among hardware that has been well-designed for heat dissipation. Brands such as EVGA and MSI make particularly good stock coolers.
Laptop coolers: Fine for laptops, useless for GPUs. Uploading and streaming = GPU rendering. Solutions? Increase case fans, keep GPU clean, be gentle with OC (overclocking). Cool some DIY fan solutions on reddit. If you’re going pro, invest in liquid cooling or stronger GPU cooler. Cooling pads won’t do you no good. Lower your gaming quality and streaming resolution as well. Keep on streaming, you lucky devil!
Cooling pads are for laptops, not for GPUs. You’ll want additional fans, clean your GPU dust, liquid cooling, etc. Use under-desk cooler if you’re using a laptop. Ensure your system is clean of dust. Optimize software to reduce CPU usage (kill background programs, turn off in-game options). Consider a Razer or Vantec pad. But, dude, if you’re running 17 hours, you need a better rig.
Cooling pads for laptops? I think you have a desktop computer by now. The true solutions are cleaning the dust off of your GPU, ensuring proper airflow in and out of your case, adding some fans to your case or replacing your GPU cooler. And if that still doesn't get your temperatures down to a reasonable level, you can undervolt your GPU to reduce power (and heat) consumption. Then you won't overheat even when you play for hours.
