Is my internet speed causing FPS drops during casino gameplay?
casino games are dropping from 60 fps to 12 fps on me in the middle of gameplay. Is it my internet or a problem with the game? I can stream videos at 4k without any issues so I don’t think it’s the internet.

FPS falls while 4K streams? Now that’s weird. Streaming is bandwidth limited, whereas online gaming is very sensitive to network latency and packet loss. When gaming, you want to minimize network latency (packet round-trip) and ensure no packets are lost. You’re dropping from 60-12 fps? This sounds like a game server issue to me. Close any background apps and re-launch the game. If you get the same performance across multiple browsers and other devices, then it’s most likely the game server or the platform of the casino. I would suggest reaching out to the game developers and give them some reproducible conditions of your fps drops. If you’re only seeing it on one browser/device combination, then it may be a local configuration issue or even a video driver issue affecting your GPU. Test on another desktop/laptop and/or use a different internet connection. Regardless of the case, please monitor if it is consistent.
If you’re experiencing lag while playing casino games, it’s probably not your internet connection. You’re streaming 4K, so that’s not the problem. It seems like something in the game or on your device is causing this. Perhaps the game has a bug, or your device stalls when the action gets heavy. You should try refreshing the game or updating it. If that still doesn’t solve the problem you should reach out to the casino’s customer service team – they’ll be able to investigate whether there is some sort of issue with their servers. Best of luck getting those 60 fps rolls back!
FPS stalls in online casino games are rarely caused by bandwidth. You’re watching 4K video without a hitch, so that shouldn’t be the reason. The issue may lie in the casino application: perhaps a server problem, an old version of the client, or another program running in the background. Log off and back on, or reboot your computer. If that doesn’t work, contact customer service; they monitor servers and can also prompt you to upgrade. This can be a first step. But if it’s not, don’t dismiss physical devices as part of the equation.
If I understand you correctly, your internet connection seems fine – streaming 4K movies requires higher bandwidth. If a game hangs, that’s either a game or a computer glitch. Online casinos usually don’t require much horsepower, but if they’re hosted in a browser or you’re experiencing a software issue, they could get unexpectedly slow. Try restarting them or refreshing the browser and contact support if the problem persists – perhaps it’s a bug that they are aware of. In any case, I doubt that your computer is underpowered unless you’re running an old machine.
