What’s the most profitable casino game with the lowest house edge?

Which casino games are the most profitable for players (low house edge)? What are your favorite games and why? I'm talking about games that a player can consistently win at and stay engaged, and make it an enjoyable night/good time at the casino. Thoughts on blackjack, craps, or something else?

But if you’re a card shark or know how the dice roll, by far the best of all the casino games are blackjack and craps, where the house advantage is less than 1% (about half a percent for blackjack when you play with basic strategy, and 1.41% in craps on the pass line bet).

I am not a blackjack fan; I prefer games that are more dependent on luck than skill, and in which I can more easily compete against the casino. However, if you like a good time, then craps is great. It’s just fun to be around a craps table.

The same is more or less true of video poker: if you know how to play 9/6 Jacks or Better, the house edge can be as low as 0.5%. It’s like playing poker on a slot machine.

Of course, like any game at any casino, the odds are always against you, so there is no way for you to “win” in the long run. Nevertheless, if you play your cards right – and hope for some lady luck – the experience will be one hell of a ride!

If you want to minimize the house edge, learn to play blackjack well (0. 5%) or craps (1. 4%, when you stick with pass/don’t pass bets). I love the strategic aspects of blackjack and the speed of craps. I’m not averse to betting on baccarat banker bets, either. As long as you aren’t gambling on a game where you have no chance of winning, it should be fun. So, learn the rules, and stay away from the sucker bets!
