Does [site] ever add more servers to reduce queue times?

Hi all, I have a website for researching casino games. Some of our players complain about long waiting line to get into live dealer games. So does [site] ever add new servers or increase capacity?

Sure, add servers! I bet that when it gets crowded at a live casino, they open more tables. They recruit more dealers, improve the software and/or add more servers. Maybe talk to their customer service to ask how they do their scaling. In my experience, larger sites will have very good queues. Often they measure the wait time and scale up accordingly. While smaller sites may find it harder to scale rapidly. I would recommend a couple of changes like offering VIP passes at peak times, hiring more dealers on the website, or enabling dynamic load balancing so that players can be moved to the best available server. Also, they should conduct surveys to find out which players experience long waits and focus on those areas. Finally, perhaps give away free spins or chips to anyone waiting longer than usual. Keeps everyone happy while they wait. Thoughts?

OK, fine, if the queues get too long at a casino, they’ll just add more servers. For example, if there’s a long queue on the live-dealer games, then you need to add more live dealers. People don’t like to get bored and wait around. I know some sites that have gone right to cloud hosting for this reason. I think you should run to your back-end guys and ask if they can scale up the number of servers available during busy periods. Players will thank you.

Yes, yes, yes, most live casinos can scale up their capacity as the traffic increases. It is no different from e-commerce companies stocking up ahead of a Black Friday sale. If you notice high wait times, then it is likely that your table games are doing well and are popular with customers. You will need to discuss the requirements with your live casino partner. They generally provide scaling options, often in tiers. I have seen some operators add 5-10 new tables within just a week after getting on a platform. So it is important to consider the trade-off between additional overhead cost and customer experience.

Live dealer queues are one of the most frustrating things about online casinos. This is often related to server bandwidth, and most operators do scale up their servers at certain times. They don't necessarily advertise this though. If you're playing on a casino with an in-house live dealer studio, it can just add more tables. Third party integrations rely on operators providing more tables, such as Evolution or Ezugi. However, some games, such as baccarat, tend to have long queues compared to others, such as roulette. Some operators have other options available, such as virtual dealers or even pre-recorded streams of games. If you encounter this problem more than once, ask the casino customer support to help you.
