Why does the game wiki keep getting anti-cheat error messages?

Similarly, why are anti-cheat messages popping up on gambling wiki pages or other discussion forums for games such as Poker, Blackjack, or Roulette? And how can one find out the best ways to win at these games without being blocked?

Wiki admins and forum moderators who post anti-cheating warnings are more likely to be automated bots than real people. They are also more likely to be out-of-date spam filters that scan for words such as “win, ” “strategy, ” or “hack” – which can be used in any context: a false positive, I suppose, similar to a motion-activated outdoor light that switches on at the slightest breeze.

Want to get better at Poker, Blackjack, or Roulette? Go to communities where the people who really know these games hang out. Find a subreddit, Discord channel, or Reddit thread about the particular game you’re interested in, and read up on the odds, strategy, etc. Master the fundamental concepts – like the hierarchy of cards in poker or when to double down in blackjack – and the bullshit of anti-cheat software will go away. But don’t break the terms-of-service of a website or use bots, OK?

Anti-cheat software also marks wiki and forum pages as cheating because they suggest tactics. If a player describes a strategy in a text chat, the cheating software may think it is code sharing or coordination. The best way to avoid being banned from online casino games such as Poker or Blackjack is to use legitimate strategies, like blackjack charts or poker hand rankings, never automate play, never share passwords, and only communicate with others in meaningful ways, not just to cheat.
