Online casino games don’t have DLC – they’re pretty much static once they go live. So I just remind those users of the basic facts. Similarly, if someone posts incorrect information, I’ll give them a short response providing examples of how casino games can be changed or replaced in the real world. Our policy on the wiki is to stick to the facts: there’s no such thing as DLC; however, sometimes a game provider will update an existing game or launch a new game. I try to stay upbeat while correcting errors, and also to provide any information available directly from an operator or developer.

If someone asks for DLCs at an online casino, I explain that in the games world, you're downloading additional content, whereas in the casino world, this is just bonuses, loyalty programs, or free spins, etc. If a myth emerges, I highlight the blatant falsehoods and politely supply the truth. And I encourage fellow posters to quote sources if they share information, so that the collective voice of the community can serve as its own quality control mechanism. Easy, effective, and honest.

So when a user asks an online casino about DLC, let them know it stands for Downloadable Content, typically in the context of video games – not casino games. Perhaps they mean to refer to bonuses or different game iterations. Make sure to point them in the right direction by offering information on the casino’s latest promotions, or new games.

When they promote falsehoods, correct them politely. Also maintain a short FAQ section to debunk common myths. Be courteous and polite, brief, and to the point.

If people mention DLC on online casinos – call them out. DLC is not a thing on online casinos. It’s a thing for consoles/games. If they’re talking about “bonus content” or “expansion packs”, tell them that free and paid-for bonus content is offered by game providers. When people are sharing misinformation, report them, correct them gently, and share links to credible resources. Regularly update your wiki with definitions to stop confusion. Be kind, but stick to the facts. Don’t BS anyone.

If an online casino’s users inquire about ‘DLC updates’ (downloading content), they are asking the wrong question. Casinos don’t have DLC. Simply tell them that this is a wrong question and that what they actually mean to ask about is updates to the games and software. If someone posts wrong information, politely correct him or her, asking them to provide evidence to support their statements. Also, try to make your responses as nice as possible. You might also want to include a short FAQ section at the end of your post so that you don’t have to explain the same thing over and over again.
