Are there any tips for managing multiple casino game windows at once?

How can one avoid confusion when multi-tasking with several casino game windows open? For example, how can a wiki or forum writer, while looking up or analyzing various games, keep track of different game rules, pay tables, or results?

Name your windows! Yes, duh. But a little label in the corner saying “3-Card Poker Rules” or “Blackjack Pay Table v2.0” is so helpful. For tabs, I use whatever sticky-note app or browser plug-in.

Keep some sort of “game hub” open – say, a document or a Wiki page – and, while you’re checking each game, take one or more notes in the hub (for instance, copy over a rule or screen shot it) so that you have a crib of what you’ve seen before you launch into the next game.

And be careful not to overwhelm yourself with open windows; if you’re trying to watch too many things at once, you are bound to miss something. Try grouping similar tasks together; for example, look at all the pay table changes throughout the day, then all the results, then all the rules changes. It will make your brain less of a mess – and, as a result, you’ll get more value out of the information.

Color code them - e.g, red for game windows, blue for rules, green for pay tables (use tabs and stickies). Have a notepad by me for jotting quick notes. Use ALT+TAB to toggle. Maybe even have two monitors. But with a little practice, you'll be multi-tasking like a boss. Hope this helps!

When playing multiple games, open new browser tabs for each; ideally, use different colors. Take notes on each game’s rules and payout schedule in another tab or document. Move from one tab to the next consciously, one at a time, to keep yourself from getting confused. Save the most important information on your desktop. Don’t try to juggle more than you can handle.

Having two screens helps: keep one browser for work, the other for play. Label or color-code tabs so you can tell what they are at a glance (e. g. red for slot machines, blue for table games, etc.). Bookmark or take screenshots of payoff charts as you come across them and add them to a document that everyone can access. Name your Windows clearly (“Blackjack Rules – Las Vegas versus Europe”), and limit the number you have open. Don’t try to multitask; instead focus on one window at a time, shifting between “contexts” rather than opening new ones.
