Why am I experiencing lag in casino games but not in other sites?
Why are casino games so slow over my network connection, while other sites and games aren’t? The games or the site or what? Am I the only one seeing this??

Casinos, specifically those with live dealer/streaming features, require a higher quality internet connection than most other sites or video games. Streaming a movie would be one thing, but being able to play a game of live blackjack is totally different. It’s one thing to experience buffering while watching Youtube, but if it takes too long for packets of information to be sent back and forth across the Atlantic during a live hand, you will notice it. In addition, casinos tend to have heavier graphics and real-time data feeds, all of which can add to the strain on your connection. Don’t worry – many others have reported similar issues with online live casino games. Take a look at your connection strength, ensure no other applications are running in the background, and try another device connected to the same network to see if the issue persists. If the latter still occurs, reach out to the casino’s customer service and mention the issue – some may offer alternative server locations.
With online casino sites, you may need to transfer or encrypt data quickly, making things more difficult than with a standard site. It could be that the server can’t handle this, or perhaps you have graphics options enabled; clear your browser’s cache, plug into an Ethernet cable (if available), or try another browser. If the site doesn’t function well on multiple devices from multiple Internet Service Providers, then there’s a problem. But others may still have no trouble if they’re using better hardware or a more powerful ISP.
The game is probably running under flash or some clunky browser plugin that is sensitive to blips and glitches in connections. Try another browser, make sure you’ve installed all of the recent browser upgrades and plugin updates. Flush your DNS. Clear your cache. Did others on your network have a problem? Have you tested your internet connection speed? Call the casino’s support center, they may be having server issues, too. Others have complained about this too.
Likely, no. Casino software tends to have more intense streaming or live-data elements which behave quite distinctively than the likes of YouTube or Reddit to network variances. Online gaming applications require a more strict level of sub-50ms response times for fairness and usability purposes. Have you run a speedtest while experiencing lag? Are people reporting similar experiences at our forums? If so, the latency is most likely due to the online casino’s server/network.
