Why does my casino game lag when I switch to windowed mode?

Hello all, I'm experiencing some weird issues with my casino app - whenever I put it in windowed mode it becomes slow as hell to the point of being unusable compared to running it in full screen. Anyone else have this problem? Is it a graphic card driver issue or is there something wrong with the game engine?

The problem is that when I go to windowed, I get some significant stuttering. More than likely, the game engine or its resolution scaling in windowed mode is not rendering properly. Your graphics card may not be optimized in windowed mode, and/or the scaling of the game resolution to your display size may be causing issues. First, make sure you have the latest version of the game and of your graphics driver. It is possible that your graphics card cannot handle whatever settings you have in the game, particularly if you have set the graphics quality higher than what your hardware can handle. Then, run the game using Borderless Windowed Mode. It will perform much better. Finally, the game engine itself may be the culprit. See if there are any known bugs in the engine or any discussion in support threads about similar issues.

It could be because the game engine doesn’t manage window focus and rendering when in windowed mode. Perhaps the game didn’t optimize for windowed mode. You may want to update your graphics drivers or check if there are any Vsync and anti-aliasing options for windowed mode in the game’s settings. Otherwise, let me know what game you’re playing; it may need a patch. I’m rooting for you! ¾

Running the game in windowed mode might be affecting its frame rate or somehow prompting the GPU to behave differently. Try running it in borderless windowed mode (which tends to perform better), ensure that your GPU drivers are up-to-date, and reduce in-game graphical settings. If this happens only in one particular game, contact the developers; they may have introduced a bug into the game. Good luck!

Start by updating your graphics card drivers online via the GPU manufacturer’s website (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel). Then try running the casino app in windowed mode – perhaps Vsync or resolution scaling is turned on here, which would explain the choppy screen issue. You can also run the app as administrator and check for any processes consuming too much of your RAM. And if you think that the game engine is at fault, contact the support team, as this might be a recognized issue.
