Why is my disk usage at 100% after installing a new casino game mod?
Hello guys, I have installed a casino game mod and now i have 100% disk usage. Is there anybody with the same problem? Could it be some sort of file loop or background process? How can I fix it without losing my save game? Thanks!

Second, check Task Manager to ensure that the mod’s process is not running amok. 100% disk usage usually means that something is hammering your drive with constant read/write operations. If you notice an oddly-named casino mod process running, close it. If the issue continues after closing the process, then the mod probably has a file loop of its own. Run the game with mods disabled in “safe mode” to verify whether the mod is causing the problem. (If you’re worried about losing your progress, back up your saves first, and you can also try a disk cleanup or defragging the disk. ) Lastly, go online to the casino game’s forum and find other people who have used the same mod. It’s likely that somebody else has already solved this.
You’re maxing out your hard drive because a mod is running its own background processes or stuck in a loop. Use Task Manager to identify the culprit and terminate it. If it’s one of the folders, remove or disable the mod first. If you’ve already started a new game save, use Disk Cleanup to clear temporary files. For persistent problems, consult the mod’s support channels or the game’s fan community. Always be mindful of backing up your save data beforehand.
The most likely cause of huge disk usage during games is installing mods. Any mod that loads extra assets or runs additional animations (think slot machines and poker tables) is a good candidate. I bet there’s a loop somewhere that’s trying to load something.
Does it run on the disk? Check task manager to see what process is using the disk and if it is the mod and then try disabling or uninstalling it to see if it helps. Remember to backup your saves first. More slot machine advice upon request.
Mods can also behave unexpectedly. An easy way to check whether a 100% disk spike relates to a looping file or process is to open your Task Manager (or equivalent) and look for an active process related to your game. Terminating that process will sometimes clear up the issue. Use your launcher to verify your game files. If this fails, revert to a previous save from before you installed the mod. Finally, don’t install mods from unknown sources.
