Is there a known bug causing a black screen in casino game discussions?
Hi all, does anybody know why we’re getting a black screen trying to mention and link to casino type games on our wiki pages and elsewhere in the forums? Is it a current bug or is it because of how those particular games are rendered? Thanks for your assistance.

That’s happened to me too when opening casino-type game. It’s probably some compatibility problem with the way these games are embedded in iframes. They must be using WebGL or a special graphics library or something that breaks when it’s not running in its own process. I’m guessing it’s not a bug, just unsupported. Look at the game’s documentation and ask the game’s authors what to do. Are you seeing this in other browsers? Try Chrome or Firefox.
That sounds like an issue with rendering the casino demo or video content in iframes or if you are linking externally. The content may not support WebGL or canvas-based rendering in iframes. It could also be related to older technology used by some of the casinos. Try testing on other devices or browsers. If there is consistency there too, then it is most likely a bug. You should report it to the vendor. Do you need any more help troubleshooting?
The black screen problem for casino games may be related to how they are embedded into your website. It is possible that certain games (particularly region-locked, DRM-protected titles) do not allow embedding, and this could lead to the black screen, or more likely a loading failure. Make sure you understand how you’re embedding/linked the game (ie: iframe vs. direct link), and try to open the links in another browser to see if there are any console errors. Alternatively, the issue could be a bug on the host gaming platform - contact their support team.
Based on my experience, embedding iframe or a game link does not always work well – some games are developed with WebGL or another browser-based technology that does not work correctly when displayed in an iframe. Alternatively, the forum/wiki-building platform may have blocked access to external content. Please check the console for any error messages when loading the page; if you see a CORS or rendering policy problem, that’s why it didn’t work. Let me know if you need more help.
Yes, the casino games look strange when embedded (e.g. WebGL, proprietary DRM) or referenced (e.g. iframes or canvas). If there are iframe/canvas rendering issues, then they won't be displayed in forum posts or previews. Are those games disallowed in robots.txt, which will prevent any script from embedding them? Perhaps scripts just aren't loaded on forum and wiki pages for these links. Could you provide static screenshots instead of dynamic links to the games (or just link to the page itself)? I could do some more debugging if you'd like.
