Is there a fix for the game discussion forum loading issue?
Hi all, we are experiencing problems with our gaming forum not loading: has anyone else had the same issue? We have a casino and games wiki and it is hampering our users’ experience. Is there anything know that resolves this? Thanks!

Start with your server’s logs. Look for strange things, such as traffic surges or error messages. If the site went down unexpectedly, an incompatibility between a plugin and a theme could be the cause. Disable all unnecessary plugins and see if that resolves the problem.
If you need something more reliable, you might want to switch to a managed WordPress host that specializes in gaming (they’ll configure your site to handle the sort of load you’re experiencing).
And caching helps, too. Plugins such as WP Rocket or W3 Total Cache make your site much faster by creating static copies of your pages. This will lighten the load on your server in periods of high traffic, when used together with a CDN.
For the forum, perhaps you want something more tailored to forums, such as XenForo or Discourse, rather than a generic platform. Larger communities have made this transition and achieved impressive improvements.
As a last resort, contact the site’s customer service department with your specific problem – chances are they’ve encountered it or something similar in the past.
Loading forum problems? Is it just a browser cache issue (clear cache / try another browser)? Or, if it’s not just you, then is it server-side (e.g. overload on the host)? Or could it be something else (a recent change to the code broke something?) Or a general infrastructure attack (DDoS)? I would do try clearing cache / checking backend for now. Please let me know what else I can do to help you trouble-shoot.
The forums don’t work. Clear your forum cache? Check if other parts of your site have forums that work, maybe it’s a forum service provider problem. Do browser support tests, maybe some users aren’t on your preferred supported platform. Contact your web hosting service and let them help, while you post a short “we’re working on this” message for members. Good luck!
My forum is slow, help! Check your server logs first. Are all users affected? Clear the browser cache. Try flushing DNS. Could be something on your server. Do you have large image files or lots of plugins running? Use tools like Google PageSpeed Insights. Failing that, contact your hoster. Let people know you’re working on it. They’ll understand. Good luck!
