Where can I find a reliable wiki with all casino game odds?

Hey all, I am building a Wiki for casino game odds, and need someone with more knowledge about casinos than me to help verify the odds. Is there a good Wiki out there that has the true odds for all the different casino games out there (blackjack, roulette, poker, etc. ) ? Thanks!

I can sympathize with your desire. I have spent many hours scouring casino-game statistics. The first place to check out is the Wizard of Odds site. He's the go-to source on probabilities. He has pages and pages of probabilities for dozens of games.

To find more examples of academic research, visit the gambling websites of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. They sometimes provide the full probabilities. For poker odds in particular, there are some mathematically inclined folks on the TwoPlusTwo discussion boards who have covered all the bases.

Keep in mind, as you work on your wiki, that there are significant differences between house edge and player advantage, and that the numbers vary from one game to another, and sometimes even within a single game, depending on the payouts (e. g. , 6-5 versus 3-2 in blackjack).

You might consider looking at the Gambling Commission’s public records as well; they sometimes post game reviews along with approved odds. Be cautious, however: these numbers are specific to a jurisdiction, and regulations vary.

Visit Wizard of Odds – the go-to site for all things casino math – and verify house edges against those published in your wiki for any game (even that weird slot machine). Don’t be shy about reaching out to dealers for verification. And don’t forget to lurk in the comments of /r/casino or some other forum. Casino pros often spot errors that the math geeks miss. Your members will thank you.

Have you tried WizardOfOdds? That site is the gold standard for casino odds. They explain house edge percentages for blackjack, roulette, poker, bingo, craps, slot machines etc in great detail using sound mathematics. If you are working on a wiki, I'd recommend checking them first to ensure the numbers are accurate. The user forums are also useful as they have professional gamblers and developers hanging around who may be able to check more sophisticated queries. Their numbers will always give you a good starting point. You might also want to indicate whether it’s European or American rules being discussed. Keep it concise!

See the math part of Wikipedia's Casino Gaming page - reasonable general overview. For blackjack, check out the Wizard of Odds (definitive source for all rule variations); for roulette, it's pretty straightforward, but there are some weird games here and there (see the site roullet.org). For poker room games, try HouseProudPoker's breakdowns. If you're looking to write an entry, focus on the game rules themselves - house edge can vary wildly depending on the game variation. I love casino math, and WizardofOdds is the authority on game payoffs: They list the house edge, true odds, and rule differences for blackjack, roulette, poker, dice, baccarat, etc. If you want to start your own wiki, make sure to double-check WizardofOdds’ stats. For all the bonus stuff, go with Mike Shakelford, the undisputed king of video poker and slot math. And remember to cite your sources…gamblers are a suspicious lot! Best of luck with the research – let me know if you need any help validating specific features.
