Do slot machines have patterns or are they purely random?
is there a pattern in the randomness of a one-armed bandit? Do some people know certain tricks about which time of day or sequence of events will bring wins, or is it entirely luck of the draw? Is there any basis for these superstitions in game operation or casino practice?

Slot machines rely on RNGs – computer chips that generate a randomly selected sequence of numbers thousands of times per second. Casinos can’t manipulate them any more than players can.
But the belief in lucky patterns and tricks is superstitious nonsense. Superstitious players claim that slots are easiest to win on a Monday morning, when no one else will be using them – or if you play right after they’ve sat idle for a while. But every second the RNG churns out new, random numbers. Any win is a fluke. The casino just designed the slot to ensure that it doesn’t pay out too often.
In short: There is no secret formula, no magic system. Relax, and let the casino win the war.
Slot machines are “Random Number Generators” …they are essentially a constantly running die that is being cast thousands of times a second. You’re not going to find anyone in the casino pulling the strings or setting things up so that a slot machine pays out at 3:00 pm. It’s just a matter of numbers. So if you want to go through crazy routines before pulling the lever, go ahead. But just remember that the numbers don’t care. And if you don’t lose, it’ll be a miracle. Go ahead and lose gracefully.
