How do I fix a game that crashes after alt-tabbing?
Hi guys, I’ve been trying to play a casino game from my computer but it keeps crashing when I alt tab out of it. If someone could help me with this that would be really good! I’ve reinstalled and restarted both the game and my computer many times. Has anyone had this problem before? Are there some settings that I might be missing? Or is there a way to put it into compatibility mode? Thank you.

Most alt-tab crashes are from games incorrectly managing window focus state. Try launching the game in Windowed (not Fullscreen) mode first. If this fails, see if there’s an “Alt-tab” option available in Video or Advanced options. If the game continues to crash, right-click on the game’s exe file, navigate to Properties > Compatibility, and select Run in Compatibility mode for: and run it as an older version of Windows. You could also try disabling VSync or forcing Borderless Windowed or Windowed mode via the game’s options or config files. If it’s a browser game, try another browser or disable plugins. Some games are just broken, but hopefully one of these solutions helps! Best of luck, and have fun!
If you have Alt-tab crashes, they are probably graphical/hardware related. Start by running the game in “Compatibility Mode” (right click the shortcut and select properties > Compatibility, then choose an older Windows version), also ensure your video card drivers are up to date. If that doesn’t work, run the game in Windowed Mode, rather than Full Screen, as some games don’t like Alt-tabbing when they’re in full screen. Finally, see if there is a known fix for this problem on the casino’s support forum. Good luck!
