Why does my game feel slow even though I have a good internet connection?

My WiFi is pretty fast, but playing online casinos through them is choppy – is it the game’s servers or me? Anyone know any workarounds or solutions?

Second, there’s a chance that you’re simply experiencing high latency, not a slow connection. Even in cases where you have speedy WiFi, having many connected devices can mean lag in some areas of the system. Try plugging your device straight into the router with an Ethernet cable, if possible. Additionally, the distance between you and your casino’s servers will affect load times. Ask what server region your game is running on, and whether you can select a closer location. Some games have these features as options. If all else fails, consider trying a different game or casino. If everything else runs without any issues, then the problem lies with the casino’s server. Otherwise, contact customer service with your speed test results and ping time – they may be able to shift you to a different server. This should narrow down your problems.

Is your Internet connection already slow? Check by running a speed test on another website. Perhaps the casino’s servers are the source of the problem? Test with a few other online casinos to find out. Is there one game or website that’s consistently giving you trouble? That might be a sign to call their customer service representative. Are you connected via wireless or Ethernet cable? You should know that even if your Internet speeds are good, it’s WiFi that can be an issue.

This may be due to the casino’s servers being overwhelmed by demand. Switching to another connection (e.g. Mobile Data instead of WiFi) may help identify the issue. Additionally, try playing off-peak and ensure that your browser or download client is running the latest version. If the problem persists, contact the casino for assistance.

Probably several. For starters, measure your internet connection via the device itself; often, dead spots are not obvious. If you have good speed, then your problem is likely with the web casino, either its server load or how well the game was engineered. Test a couple of other web casinos: if they all show latency, adjust your home configuration (if you’re using WiFi, plug in your computer). If only one casino seems slow, contact customer service; it may be their fault.
