Are there best times to play to avoid game lag?

Yeah, lagging is annoying. Think of servers as highways - they can become congested when lots of users are using them simultaneously. Judging by our community discussions, it looks like our servers can get quite busy around dinnertime (e. g. , 7 p. m.-10 p. m. ) depending on where you live. The weekend's always busier, with 3 p. m.-6 p. m. being particularly crowded. Try connecting at an earlier time - for example, some people have found that weekdays at around 11 a. m. work well. I'll have a look at the wiki and post to see if there have been any server downtimes recently. If it affects other users, then our developers will post a note. In the meantime - try an alternate time.

Don't worry; you're far from being the only one. There is a lot of traffic on internet games, especially in the evenings (local time 6-10PM) and especially on weekends, which explains why you have lag. Try logging on in the early morning or during the weekday. You might also want to browse the game forum to see if there is any information about server maintenance.
