Should I update my browser to reduce casino game lag?

Hey guys, I’m having trouble with a delay in online casino games with Internet Explorer. Do you think upgrading to Firefox would make the game smoother? Anyone out there have any advice?

Moving from Internet Explorer to Firefox is wise. Internet Explorer is a bit creaky these days, not always displaying graphics or running scripts as fast as it could. You may notice an immediate improvement with your favorite online casino games.

But it is also worth looking at other potential sources of delay, such as your internet connection, the gaming site’s own performance (which may vary), and your computer’s specs. An old PC could benefit from a new browser, but other components might not be up to it.

First try the Firefox browser, and then clear your browser’s cache. If you are still experiencing lag, then contact the casino support team; they may have an answer for the online casino they operate.

Use Firefox rather than IE. IE is old, so it will be clunky with new casino software. Firefox is better for newer web stuff, like the game images and scripts, so it should help with latency. In any case, I would recommend that you check your net connection, make sure no other software on your computer is slowing things down, and clear your browser’s cache. If Firefox doesn’t work, try Chrome or MS Edge. Then let me know.

Moving away from IE towards Firefox would certainly be beneficial. IE is old and is not optimized for new technologies such as flash-based internet casinos and websites with large script elements. Firefox loads them better. Also update your graphics driver and clear out your browser cache. You may also consider using Google Chrome – many casinos have optimized their websites for it. Try it and see what works best for you!

Yes, Internet Explorer is old. Pretty much all casinos work best with Firefox or Chrome. Switching to Firefox may improve things, but probably not. Make sure the casino is using hardware acceleration, and that your video drivers are current. And if you have a lame Internet connection, no amount of tinkering will save you. Try a new browser first - you know, the easy solution.
