Can anyone help optimize AMD graphics settings for high-stakes poker simulators?

Hi guys, I am running poker sim games with an AMD GPU, but I am getting poor performance. Who has experience in modifying AMD graphic card settings for a professional poker sim? How to find a good balance between graphics and frames per second?

Go to Open AMD Software (or whatever you have), then Graphics Settings. Select your poker simulator as default app. Increase the resolution as much as you can without going too far. Keep anti-aliasing on Normal or Low, and shadows on High (ambient occlusion Medium). Texture quality stays on High (effects Medium). Enable VSync (I’d keep it on) to avoid screen tearing during fast transitions. If that doesn’t help, try lowering the resolution a bit. Tweak the settings one at the time, in small steps, and test in between until satisfied. When it comes to poker, the faster the better. A smooth UI is more important than 4K resolution. Restart your simulator after every tweak. Then monitor FPS and play around with the settings. In the end, if nothing helps – look for the sim’s recommended settings on the official poker forum or in their support section. Good luck!

Also, try lowering some of your AMD settings to medium-high. Bring down the shadows and anti-aliasing levels; they tend to be the biggest performance drains. In Radeon Software, tell the program that performance rather than “ultra” graphics are important for you. Turn VSync off if it’s making things choppy. And make sure you have the newest drivers. The simulation doesn’t need 4K textures. Set your display resolution and trust the game to do its job!

Next, reduce the number of shadows and the level of detail on textures. These two settings can really impact your frame rate. If you have a more recent graphics card, try using foveated rendering to direct processing power to what your eyes see. Then turn off VSync and run your game in windowed mode instead of full-screen. Finally, if you are experiencing an overheating problem with your GPU, check for dust buildup or adjust fan curves. The game looks great at anything less than 4k resolution, so focus on performance (not eye candy) if you want to play well under pressure.

Poker needs more CPU power, not as much GPU, so you can adjust those settings. In AMD Radeon Software, turn down Anti-Aliasing and Shadows, which use a lot of vRAM. Turn on PowerPlay. Pick Balanced (or Power Save) Graphics Profile. Update your drivers. Get the game running at 70+ FPS. Check the game settings to see if they’re forcing unnecessary GPU usage.

If you’re playing poker sims on AMD, prioritize lowering GPU usage. In AMD Settings -> Graphics Quality, turn down anti-aliasing (maybe 2x or 4x), and set Shadows to Medium. Don’t bother with MSAA or other post-process effects unless you really need them. Pick “Power Saving” in Power Settings to avoid crashes at the cost of a bit of FPS. To improve performance further, use Smart Access Memory if your CPU is compatible. If possible, prioritize Frame Rate Target settings. Lower resolution scaling if you have a high-res monitor. Find a good balance between high graphics quality and fast gameplay: It’s fine to have sharp graphics, but err on the side of speed. Try a couple of game situations before settling on the right balance. I hope that’s helpful!
