Does a black screen mean the game is no longer supported?

I I just attempted to play one of the classic wiki casino games. It’s all black. Is the game broken, or do I need to upgrade something? Am I alone in this?

A The problem is unlikely to be the fact that your browser doesn’t support classic wiki casino games. It’s more likely to be a browser-specific issue, an incompatible or outdated Flash player, or faulty graphics card drivers. Try clearing your cache, using another browser (Chrome or Firefox), and checking whether there is an updated HTML5 version of the game online. Remember you’re not alone – all classic casino games are struggling with the same tech-related issues. Read the game’s wiki page to see if there is anything mentioned about compatibility issues and how other players have resolved those problems. Alternatively, get in touch with the developer, who may well have updated the game or have a work-around.

What does it all mean? First, the game may not be compatible with your current browser and/or browser version. We recommend using Chrome or Firefox. Second, Adobe Flash Player is required, but as most browsers no longer have built-in Flash support, please locate an HTML5 version of the game if available. It’s also possible that the casino wiki site is out of date. Please try again later or visit their support page. Other players have had the same experience.

A There’s probably nothing wrong with the game. More likely, you’ve got an old JavaScript plug-in or your browser isn’t supported. Clear your cache or try another — Chrome and Firefox both may have problems displaying games — and make sure you’re running WebGL. Lots of old-school casino games use it. Send me the name of the game you’re trying to play, and I’ll see if I can help.

A Black screens usually indicate browser compatibility problems, or that the game has been discontinued. Try updating your browser or using Chrome/Firefox and clearing the cache. If that doesn’t work, check the support page to see whether it’s been discontinued. If so, don’t despair – there are many other casinos with the same problem. Contact support, they may be able to offer an alternative game.
