Fullscreen mode breaks the layout — how to fix?

I tried to run an online blackjack tutorial in fullscreen mode but the format was distorted on my screen and the information lost. Has anyone already made a post regarding this?

If a how-to pops out of its frame and crashes, it’s most likely a browser or scaling problem. Refresh the page if you can (and unzoom your browser: Ctrl + 0), then check the tutorial in another browser.

If you are viewing this on a mobile device, ensure your device’s screen resolution is high enough; otherwise, the video will not display properly. And make sure you are using the correct Internet address; we have a separate address for our mobile site, which does not support fullscreen.

As a last resort, try to find the “desktop view” button in the settings of your browser, when watching the tutorial. Most websites, however, have a switch that allows you to load the desktop version manually.

This has happened to me too. I suspect that it is a display issue or a problem with your browser. Hopefully, trying one of those solutions resolves it for you. Have fun studying blackjack.

First, make sure you’re not viewing this site in full screen mode. This often leads to layout problems with certain browsers. Then press right-click > Inspect, and see if the “Responsive” option is enabled. If that doesn’t work, try opening the webpage in another browser. I know – it sucks. Don’t worry, we’ll fix it.

fullscreen mode can be buggy. Start by trying to resize the browser screen manually -- this often resets things. Failing that, try a different browser, or see if there is a mobile version of the website. Finally, try disabling all your browser extensions for a moment -- some screw up rescaling. Do you have any other tips?

First, resize your browser window before it pops into full-screen mode. That should prevent some websites from getting stretched out of shape. Next, see if there is a mobile or tablet optimized version of the website, and try accessing it. Otherwise, use another browser or submit a bug report to the site’s owner. Surprisingly common issue.
