Are there any casino games that run smoothly on integrated graphics?

Hi there! I’m about to build a gaming pc with no discrete graphics card. Do any of the online casinos’ games (Poker, Blackjack, etc.) require one? Does anyone know of a low-GPU game for casual play, or even live dealers?

No PC gaming graphics card is needed. Online casinos like Poker and Blackjack will run on your CPU alone and will be fine even if you have to use integrated graphics. Games with real dealers are a little more CPU-intensive, but they’re mostly video streaming, so you’d be better off getting a faster Internet connection. I’ve tried several real dealer games on my laptop with only Intel HD Graphics, and it gets by. Just make sure you have at least 8 GB of memory. If you’re looking for something fun to do during quarantine, this should suffice. You’ll only really need a graphics card if you want to livestream what you’re doing.

The same goes for most other web-based casino games: slots, poker, and blackjack should work just fine with your integrated graphics. You may have issues with live dealer games, but providers such as Evolution Gaming or Ezugi should automatically optimize the experience for lower-end systems. Opt for HTML5-based casinos, which use less processing power than Flash, and skip 3D slots as much as possible. And if you’re unsure, try out a few casinos beforehand – many will offer free demo versions that don’t require a download or registration to access. You can be a successful online gambler without dropping hundreds on a graphics card. Have fun!

I guess that the majority of online casino games (Poker, Blackjack, Roulette...) don't require much processing power from a graphic card... I suppose it's not the case with "live" Casino dealers (the video streaming may be CPU intensive). But most online casinos have designed their software in order to be usable even with old, crappy hardware. The safest way would be to see if you can play few online casinos games demo on your computer. The best way to play low graphical online casino games is to select only the oldest ones or not to play 3d animated slots. So you do not need a powerful graphic card...

Slots, poker, and blackjack are all relatively simple games that can easily be played using integrated graphics. Streaming quality may lag for live-dealer tables with high-definition video, but some casinos allow you to reduce the resolution. The best option is to find an HTML5 game rather than a Flash game. An external graphics card is not necessary unless you plan to stream your gameplay or to play live-dealer games in 4K resolution. Just playing? You are set.
