How do I fix audio stuttering while streaming casino game content?

Hello, I have an audio stuttering problem when streaming casino games. I record and stream using OBS and have a good pc and the audio still stutters. Is anyone else experiencing stuttering while streaming casino games (blackjack / roulette)? Maybe codec problem? Or settings? Im using usb mic

OBS audio stutter are almost always caused by either CPU/GPU limitation or buffering settings. Here are some solutions to try first: 1) Decrease your OBS Audio buffer size (found under advanced settings). 2) Set the priority of OBS in task manager to “high”. 3) Make sure your mic is set as your default playback device in Windows sound settings. 4) Change from a high bitrate codec like Opus to something lighter like AAC. 5) Close all resource-hogging background applications. When streaming casino games like this, make sure that it’s not the games themselves that are eating up your GPU power, causing stutter on a relatively powerful pc. Test with another microphone, if you have one available. Stream at a lower resolution for a bit. Even very small lags in a big stream like that might be a subtle driver error. Try keeping it simple.

OBS audio “chop”: This is almost always a buffer or delay problem. Update your USB mic driver first – outdated ones can cause problems. Then go into the OBS Audio settings. Reduce the OBS audio buffer down to 128 or 256 samples and ensure your CPU is not peaking when you stream by enabling OBS system stats overlay. You don’t want audio “chop” during casino games (blackjack/roulette) which requires players to hear audio cues clearly. I also suggest reducing other background applications that might be running on your computer. If this fails, try another microphone to rule out a hardware problem.

It may just be latency, buffering problems. Adjust OBS audio settings: reduce the buffer (but don’t go too low). Monitor audio with another application. Check if your USB mic is set as default. Something else might consume CPU, like other audio processing. You may try AAC codec for audio, rather than default. See if it helps and report back! Good luck streaming!

Well, first, make sure your USB mic drivers aren’t giving you lag. Then, open up OBS, go to audio configuration, and drop the “audio monitoring device buffer” setting down to 64 or 128. Too many will result in choppy audio. If that doesn’t fix it, see if your mic is working properly on some other program. Also, turn off any other programs using your mic in the background. Try changing your stream’s audio codec or bitrate. Your casino stream needs clear audio, let me know if I’m missing something

First, your stuttering is probably triggered by USB mic drivers. Test another USB port or another mic. Check that the USB mic is selected as the default device in the audio settings of your computer. Also try changing the audio monitor type in OBS from “just Monitor” to “Monitor and Output” and change the audio sample rate from 22.05 kHz to 48 kHz. It seems like little things but they actually help. If none of this works, you may have other software that is interfering with audio processing on your PC.
