Can mods do anything about the long queues?

mods, it’s getting really crowded in the gambling games forum. Do you guys have any ideas for dealing with the traffic? More pinned threads?

Sure, mods can do something about the congestion. More pinned threads in gambling Games might help. Ask what content people want there - everyone likes to feel listened to. Consider a Queue Helper bot that guides people to less crowded games and times of day. A giant live thread to host everyone would let us be social without clogging the other threads. Perhaps we could break it down by categories of game: maybe "poker", "casino" etc. Tell the mods how you'd like to see things change. No matter how packed it gets, I want us to keep having fun. Come find me on our Discord if you want to chat about it. It's gonna be a blast!

Croupier that I am, I know what is happening. It’s called a backup, and it occurs when a bunch of users are on the roulette thread at the same time. The way to clear it up: split up the thread by pinning more topics, like “live roulette. ” Then add “tips and tricks” and “new releases. ” Pin a sticky about the change-up. Try posting during non-peak hours. People want order; they’re just not interested in orderly queues. Adjust and experiment until you get it right.

Uh yeah, I know. Threads exploding causes mayhem. So as a moderator, I would make an "ongoing games" sticky with updates as they happen. Split the thread into subthreads focused on specific topics (rules, tips & tricks, beginner's Q& A), distribute them into different threads to avoid crowding. Also, add a rotating pinning feature so new posts are always at the top and older ones get pushed down. If too many people still show up, make it a permanent sticky.

Yeah, mods can always do more to clear out the clutter. Just post more pinned threads for some of the biggest games, rotate pinned threads periodically, encourage people to post more topic-specific threads for their game, or even make a forum just for that discussion...

Speaking as a regular poster (and occasional moderator) in gambling games, I can attest that it could use some additional moderation. More stickies to divide discussion into manageable chunks. Perhaps limiting larger discussions to small groups. Moderators could schedule posts at certain times or dedicate a thread with specific guidelines to avoid clutter and maintain community flow. It’s certainly worth a shot.
