As far as I can tell, rubber banding is more prevalent in action games than poker. In my experience, it occurs only when your Internet connection isn’t strong enough, causing the game to become unresponsive or choppy. Rubber banding isn’t that frequent in poker, though, since the game is relatively relaxed and involves more discrete movements. However, a poor connection could lead to your actions being delayed or to hand histories appearing scrambled.

I’ve had some strange technical issues myself, but multiple bets and non-scrolling tables are not new. First thing is always to check your internet connection and make sure it’s wired if possible, and that the site’s software is up-to-date. If it keeps happenning, contact support with as little detail as possible

I’m a poker room consultant, and I’ve seen rubber banding, particularly at the peak of a rush. You have a great hand and all of a sudden you are put out of position. It is very annoying, but top sites will correct it. Occasionally there are bugs in which chips don’t add up correctly or animations lag behind. Sites will typically reverse the deal and fix things. Report any funny business with a hand record from support. They tend to be pretty sharp. Don’t play over a flaky connection.
